What if your first thought, the moment you wake up, was “Good morning, God. How are you doing today?”

What if your second thought is, “Can this be real? Can I actually be even more in love with Jesus than I was last night?”

What if you tried, to the best of your ability, to share and experience the trials and sufferings that those you pray for are experiencing, instead of mindlessly telling God that their problems exist? (He knows that they’re struggling already…)

What if you lived in a constant state of wonder?

What if you saw the glory of God in everything? (I’m confused as to how it’s possible to believe that God is the creator of the universe, and not to see him in everything…)

What if you asked God what he wanted you to do with your day? (Because it’s not actually yours…)

What if you thanked God for the stress and trials that you go through on a daily basis, when you can’t figure out why, because his plan is bigger than your understanding?

What if you expected miracles every day?

What if the possibility of Christ’s return at any moment was real to you? (Would you still be wasting hours on facebook or myspace?)

What if your prayer life was a conversation, instead of a lecture?

What if you did what you could to avoid sin so you wouldn’t have to see God cry, instead of simply trying to live a good life?

What if the rules and regulations of a religion had no effect on you, and you lived for only one thing: a relationship with Jesus Christ?

What if your second to last thought of the day, just before you say good night, is “Can this be real? Can I actually be more in love with Jesus than I was this morning?”

What if your last thought of the day, just before you fall asleep, is “I loved spending my day with you, God?” (And we don’t have to ask God how his day was, because we just spent the whole day with him…)

What if God was your master? What if Jesus was your lover? What if you refused to be denied this undeserved life of ultimate satisfaction and fulfillment and love?

The more Christ means to you, the more you are a means to Christ.  But you cannot mean more to Christ, for you are everything to him already.

When Jesus is everything to you, you don’t have to say “what if” anymore. You get to say “this is.”

Goodness Steve….this is beautiful. :) You made me cry…but not a bad cry!

I’m glad that I don’t have to say ‘what if’ anymore. I’m really really glad.
